Throughout this project, I've been fortunate to have the graphic design assistance of my partner of nearly 29 years, Mary Anne Lauby. We first met in 1978, and have been pretty much inseparable ever since. It was darkroom work that brought us together, and in a few short years Mary Anne had started her career as graphic designer, working first for Westinghouse and then Boeing. In the early 1980s, we hand built computers, with Mary Anne successfully soldering more than 4000 connections in one early model. It worked the first time we fired it up. With no fear of computers, she transitioned to software based graphics work by the mid 1980s.
In 1995 she started her own company, Graphics and Document Services, and incorporated in 1999. In a unique partnership with Devary Communications, Mary Anne has provided graphic design services for clients from Kazakhstan to Texas, Virginia to Florida, with many clients in eastern Washington state. Independently, she has partnered with clients as far away as Singapore, working "virtually" using the web.
Her work includes large, full color displays for technical meetings, logos, brochures, web sites, books, corporate annual reports, and newsletters. View some examples, and contact Mary Anne at her website: www.lauby.com
