Scope
The purpose of the Arts web project is to improve communication and learning in the visual arts on the north Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. It is the intent to provide convenient web links for individual artists, businesses who support them, and web sites with annual events of interest to this community. Most significant is the regional Arts Calendar, (accessed on the orange tab above). If it gains full support from the community, we should see increased interest in all events. It is designed to accept event information from the public, and you can help by providing complete and accurate information.
Web Designers
In this next phase of work, we will be primarily interested in bringing visual artists' work to the attention of the public through links to web pages. It is NOT the intention to take the place of the high quality web sites that are constructed by local web designers.
If you are a web designer and would like to be listed here, send me links to your site, and also links to artist web pages you have developed. Most artists would also appreciate some general idea on costs, if you are comfortable sharing that information.
Who's Eligible?
Links to existing regional fine arts web sites are always welcome, whether from an individual artist, cooperative gallery, business, or event with an "arts theme". See more information on the guidelines page.
At the present time, if you are a Sequim Arts or Blue Whole member, your membership entitles you to a single web page hosted on this site. For Sequim Arts there is a small ($25) one time fee, payable to Sequim Arts; Blue Whole members' fees are included in your gallery membership fees. Up to six photos can be included, and your page can be updated when significant events occur: you've finished a new series of work, for example, or you're about to have an exhibit.
See the guidelines page for more information on eligibility and submitting information.
