Shirley Foss
A love of nature grew from a life lived from the Colorado Rockies, to the Willamette Valley in Oregon, to Alaska. Shirley studied with some of the best nature and wildlife artists available including Robert Bateman, John Seery-Lester, Charlene Jeffreys, Morton Solberg, and Terry Isaac among others. Her serious pursuit of an artistic career began with full-time instruction in 1975, and her desire for improvement continues to this day. Shirley works in a wide range of media including oils, acrylics, pastel, gouache, charcoal, and pencil. Her subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes, still life, pets, and wildlife. Her favorite subject is nature, and her style is realism. If
