Allan Koidahl is a native northwest artist showing in several galleries and at the Pike's Place market.  His greatest satisfaction comes from taking wood that most people would see a firewood and releasing the beautiful objects hidden inside.

The rough cut wood is dried for several months in his studio in Seattle.  Then it is turned carefully on the lathe, hand sanded, rubbed, and finally waxed or finished to bring out its uniqueness. Each piece become an original with infinite variation in color and shape.
