Jacque's fascination
with the natural world began at a very
early age. Her fascination turned into
various art forms through the years.
From small carvings of animals as a
child to weaving tapestry with
naturally dyed material and most
recently soft pastels and acrylics
paintings.
Her subject are most often taken form
nature but also from the plains and
forms found in man made objects. She
attempts to challenge you with thought
provoking assumption about the history
or personality of her subject’s
choices.
Jacque is a self taught artist with
curiosity as her mentor. Photographs
are her main source of reference. Her
studio is in her apartment kitchen, so
her paintings are a part of her daily
life until she feels they are complete.
‘The process is what I enjoy the most,
watching my work develop. Sometimes
ending completely differently than I
had planned’.
