Helen Wood

Born and raised in rural Colorado, Helen has
lived and traveled in many parts of the United
States. She has worked in oil and acrylics, but
feels that watercolor allows her to achieve a
more poetic mood. Her paintings are partly
reality and partly fantasy.
Most of her
subjects are old barns, trees, rocks and birds
nests done in a nostalgic vein. Helen has
studied with a number of well-known artists in
California and Washington. She has won numerous
awards for her watercolors.
